I heard this poem earlier today and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Imagine the conviction it must take for a good man to go to war.

Demons run when a good man goes to war.

A person is convincingly evil when he can dress like a beautiful clown and still give people chills down their spines. I am talking about Kafka of course. He is the antagonist in Final Fantasy 6 and he is by far the most wicked, disturbed and unique villain I’ve seen and I’ve seen plenty!

“Due to Kefka’s mental decline, he is demoted from the position of prime minister. The collapse occurs at the start of the 3rd imperial campaign. Kefka loses all good sensation in his body, and forgets his fondest memories, leaving with him only memories of his childhood abuse.

Kefka begins to play with dolls, and his behavior becomes increasingly eccentric; he begins to adorn himself with garish robes, and feminine embellishments, and his speech patterns and behavior change appropriately. He becomes increasingly more violent, and has fits of anger, where he uses his magical abilities to attack soldiers who make fun of him. He gradually becomes the most feared man in the empire, a man who only finds beauty in death and destruction.”

Who would ever want to make fun of someone you know is strong as strong can be and plays with dolls in garish robes? You know that he has several screws loose and might go postal on your body if you do. Kefka is truly one of a kind and not many villains have managed to pull off the crazy like he has done.

Most of the tunes I have mentioned have been around for several years. This time though I have something new and fresh to share with you all. Quite rarely do I see a music video that really catches my attention, but this one sure managed to do just that! The music reminds me of the song by death in the classic disc world game, but with a more morbid touch. If you listen to the lyrics you will hear something that is both creative and wicked at the same time. It is even morbidly romantic.

The chorus is fantastic!

I do not treat my blog well which means that it is always near the brink of death. But after weeks of silence and lack of activity, Bam! Another post hits the ground, giving the blog the necessary healing it needs to stay alive. Which reminds me of my raiding days. The brave tank took the beating and kept the demons away from the far more squishy players. If he died, so did the rest. Once his health was about gone and the main healers were all out of mana, despair and frustration started to rise up. But what happened? The trustworthy hybrid switched his focus and saved the day with a fantastic heal-spam. These were the good ol´days. To bad I haven’t raided in years, but at least I have my memories. *Takes a nostalgic walk down memory-lane*

By the way. Necromancers are super fun to play.

Release your inner insanity

There is a fine line between sanity and lunacy and I sure do enjoy crossing it from time to time. What will be found on the other side, nobody knows! But whatever it is, it will surely bring a smile or two to myself and possibly those near to me. People really should let their inner maniac come out and play, because even caged pets deserve a nip of fresh air now and then.

I am a thinker, but I am not an over-thinker as one of my close friends who will remain anonymous. A clue is that he is known as “the fourth”. If you have seen the movie Yes with Jim Carrey, you must realize that there is truth in the plot of the movie. So many experiences can be had by just going against the little voice in your head that says “what if”. You should replace that annoying little voice with a smooth brittish voice that says “bloody hell mate, do It!”

This is a beautiful picture by an artist known as Sephiroths muse, and it always reminds me of Castlevania. But I never really understood why.

Things I would rather do than hate people.

- Slap an angry tiger’s swollen scrotum.

- Take my eyes out with a silver spoon.

- Sell my kidneys to the lowest bidder.

This does not mean that I am incapable of feeling hatred, because I would slap the tiger’s scrotum if I really had to. It just means that I would rather spend my life feeling content with the world around me and let things go once in a while than spend energy on something as trivial as hate. Let’s make one thing clear. I am not talking about the type of hate you have for someone who probably deserves it. The type of person who enjoy spreading the hurt on others. This raving is focused on the hate people have for those who most likely did not do much to deserve it in the first place. There are many kinds of hate. We have the jealous type who hates people who have succeeded in life in one way or another, probably because this person succeeded in a field the hater himself has failed in. We have the paranoid type of hatred people spew on others when the hater takes something to personal or out of context, and we have the justified type which is a lot rarer than people are led to believe.

First of all, the world is not out to get you. If you feel insulted in some way due to another person’s actions, don’t take it to personal because most of the time there are other reasons beyond your control for these actions. Even if they were because of you on a personal level, confront them on it and afterwards, just let it slide. Trust me, you will feel a lot better once you have gotten it out of your system and then placed behind you. If you walk through life thinking less of the people around you, chances are that you will end up being a lot less cheerful than you would have been otherwise. The human body is capable of doing many things. But if history and science has taught us anything, it is that negative emotions break us down slowly but surely and have a tendency to spread like a disease. So for your own sake ,break the trend and be the bigger person. Focus your energy on something a lot less destructive and your body and mind will thank you for it.

As one of my dear friends said many years ago. “Don’t hate! Accelerate!”

Yesterday was a fantastic day for two reasons. It was the international suit-up day so I decided to suit up! At least partially. But what made the day really great had nothing to do with suits, and everything to do with human-shaped blobs of blue devoid of all emotion. The blue man group had a show in Stockholm and this show was viewed by yours truly. The show sure was epic and really entertaining. How often do you see men in blue eat their own weight in airbourne marshmallows? That may not make any sense right now but if you do watch the show one day, it will. I have always wanted to see the blue man group, and I am glad that I finally got the opportunity to do so.

prepare yourselves for the biggest cliché you’ve heard in quite some time. Brace yourselves cause here it comes. “Life is to short.” That’s right, I said it cause it had to be said. Everyone has dreams, some are stranger than others. For instance, a friend of mine dreams of fighting huge spiders with friends, which I feel is unlikely. but most are atleast humanly possible and these are the dreams you should hang on to. Ten years from now, would you be happy with the lifestyle you are going towards at the moment or would you like to live a different life?

People talk alot of what they want to do but they never actually do it. Most people spend their lives in the same location doing the same thing they have done since puberty, secretly wishing they lived someone elses life. Some are completely happy with this lifestyle and if so, this post is not for you. I just want to say that instead of dreaming of moving to California and working with the career of your choice, give it a try and see what happens. Worst comes to worst, you end up right where you have started. But you will always be an experience richer and you would no longer ask yourself the question “What if”.

Be friendly, but mean it.

Those that know me know that I smile a substantial amount of my conscious time, and and that I am an easy going hakuna matata kind of guy. Even so, there is one social rule that bothers me. The forced hello given by people who don’t even know your name. I sure do enjoy meeting people that I care for, or cared for in the past in the streets. But if you are a former colleague who worked in the same workplace ages ago, but one I never spoke to besides the occasional hello in the hallways, don’t feel forced to give me that insincere smile and greeting five years later, because I don’t. If you on the other hand actually were happy to see an old colleague, come forward! I would love to speak with you as long as you were sincere about it.

People are so worried about what others might think that they sometimes forget that they in reality don’t actually care either. The social mask worn by most is only a burden to bear only if you let it be one. Be kind, open and friendly to others. But only if you really want to, otherwise it will just come out the wrong way and just make your self feel uncomfortable.
